Abstract
The author singled out for discussion at Symposium 1991 four features of stress she believes are unique to the practice of law, and offered some suggestions on handling those problems. These are : losing sight of emotional selves, the hierarchical structure of the profession, the solicitors cast as a powerful rescuer, and isolation.
