Abstract
The author examines recent developments in town planning and environmental law in Queensland, including: the new Local Government (Planning and Environment) Act 1990 (QLD); the establishment of the Planning and Environment Court (QLD) under the Act; proposed environmental legislation; and the Fitzgerald Commission inquiring into matters relating to Fraser Island, and the Great Sandy Region.
